STYLE:

A great track is always welcome, no matter what genre it is and we endorse you to rip apart, twist, shout and take the original wherever you want. Be very creative. The only demand that we have is that the remix must be groovy, powerful, driving and very danceable.

We will select only tracks that are noticeably connected to the original. The original track has a simple, characteristic electro melody and a catchy, simple original vocal. Some small part of the vocal sample must be in the remix so it connects to the original. Also, you are free to add your own vocals but leave at least a small part of the Hubert vocal.

Be aware that we are interested in high quality production + creativity, so take your time and flame up your brain!

HOW TO ENTER:

You will enter the contest by downloading the samples and leaving a comment with your artist name and myspace profile link on our myspace blog HERE .

UNRELEASED REMIXES:

All properly submitted remixes (except the winners) will be included into a big free download pack that will be promoted on our myspace profile. If you wish that your remix is not included in this pack, be sure to let us know.

SAMPLES:

Besides the samples from the contest, strictly use material that you created or have clear permission to use or the ones that are free and available in the public domain. Don't use Hubert Flow's samples in any of your other productions. If you want to, contact us and we will arrange that.

Feel free to post your work here on our blog to get our feedback and we will try to answer everyone in a reasonable time. Until this contest is over, try not to post your remixes on other sites but after it is finished, use it wherever you desire.

Upload the remix in 192kbps MP3 format on any file sharing site (megaupload, sendspace, rapidshare, mediafire etc) or use any website you want for direct links. If the links are not working, we will let you know in the comments section or send you a message.

IF YOU WIN:

If your remix wins, we will need the unmastered version in WAV 16bit 44Khz. If your remix has been mastered to sound perfect, we will just smile and prepare it for releasing.

We will then immediately send you the contract, start making some killer designs for your profile and listen more to your sounds to find out more about your work.

WHEN IT'S OVER:

After we choose the tracks, we will announce the winners and put a list of all submitted remixers and their tracks. We will explain why we chose those tracks and announce the release date of the E.P. and the separate release date of the package with all unaccepted remixes.

This is a sort of a showcase mix of exclusively Multipraktik Recordings artists, selected and mixed by one of the Berlin/London's finest underground producers and DJ's - Tommi Bass.

About the mix:
Tommi first takes us through a deep, technical mash-up stroll of his Multipraktik releases including the outstanding techno tracks (favourites in Multipraktik crew) "Dobermann" (Woof...Woof EP), the dance-floor crushing "DJ Tool 01" (Shoneberg Kebab Techno EP and the deep percussive synth madness of "Multipraktik - Liars (Tommi Bass Remix) (Liars EP). At a perfect timing, Hubert Flow's tough electro/house track "Bla Bla" (from The Trip To The Black Hole album) takes control with powerful, ominous synths and vocals to be blended with 2 freakout Raijin Gaijin's crazy dub fusion monsters - "Praktik Time" and "Be Beat". The skill of Tommi Bass's experience as a multigenre DJ boils at this point as he spins out a pure driving force of Clode's "Black Water" into 2 Miguel Bastida perfectionist free-styled minimalist tracks "Popofaina" and "Sintetizator". The mix is ideologically perfectly finished with Himan's "Heavyweight Berlin".

About the mix:
If you say you understand Ali Disco B that means you don't understand Ali Disco B. Multipraktik Recordings is really proud to present this monstrous one hour long mash-up of recent music history through the eyes, ears and brain of the endlessly talented producer/DJ Ali Disco B. If we would try to describe this mix in detail, it would take us a small printed 100 page long manual along with photos and instructions. Even the tracklist doesn't include all the material used in the mix.

42 songs ranging from Ali Disco B originals, cult club songs, classic rock monsters to some surprising samples mixed, blended and destroyed in the finest, top notch spirit of the mash-up age. A true gem full of humorous and memorable moments.

Since there is no way we can write about the whole mix, we advise you to simply read the massive tracklist, start jumping and enjoy the mix.

BIOGRAPHY

Electric-artist, militant, inspired, always. For the past 15 years, this child of Detroit techno and Chicago House has been the protégé of the biggest names. The French label F Communications was the first one to get him signed. Then International Dj Gigolo, Boys Noise, Citizen records, and Good Life all came along.

At the dawn of the 90’s, he opened “Le Barbarella”, a clever concept mixing design with culinary pleasures and electronic music, first in Cannes, then in Barcelona a few years later. With the new millennium came Musique Moderne, followed by its little sister, Interférences. Lady B makes the most of his experience in music production to help launch the career of young upcoming artists. By the end of this first decade, he starts a new musical project under his real name : Bruno Gauthier. The first is a vocal one with singer/song writer Madga Zagba and it was just signed by Luke Solomon and Derrick Carter for Classics Recordings.

LRCN
When LRCN hits the decks, dancers and listeners can expect to move to the converging sounds of Progressive House/Trance, Tech House, Electro House, Deep House and Minimal. When feeling frisky, and only in the privacy of his home studio, he has been known to play his older Trance or Drum & Bass records.

To date, LRCN has played at L.A.’s Spundae & RED, Circus Disco, as well as the occasional cross-border gig in cities such as Minneapolis, Phoenix, Harrisburg, and Toronto to name a few. But, he is equally at home with the smaller venues, whipping up dancers at raves and private house parties from time to time.

Dance Pants
His musical inspirations are varied, including artists like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, and many other classic-rock acts.

Among the contemporary artists that influence his work are The Prodigy, Kraftwerk, The Crystal Method, The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Underworld, The Future Sound Of London, Fluke, Aphex Twin, and Orbital, not to mention Pole Folder, Derek Howell, Quivver, Sasha, John Digweed, Roland Klinkenberg, DJ Remy, Vibrasphere, Bs As Deep, Ray Mack, DJ Thee-O, and Darin Epsilon, to name only a few.

The Perfect Mix
LRCN hones his craft constantly, and isn’t afraid to listen to his work critically. His online Opus is impressive, which includes over 100 dance sets.

Whether creating guest mixes, solo series like The Bidness, Dispersion Of White Light, and Future Pants, or working collaboratively with other DJs like Ray Mack or Generation Trance (DJs GT and Project C), LRCN brings the dancer through a steady pulse of dance tracks, pulled together with smooth transitions and programming. “I try to focus on playing tracks that will keep the dancers moving and grooving, nothing boring”.

He has a few favorite sets including Delikat 013, finale for Jav D’s show April 2006 on DI.fm, BAT for his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day 2004, Groove Doctor (2003) and several of The Bidness mixes, which are all available for download from his website www.djlrcn.com.
